MAAREE Turns 7! A Big Thank You & Our Biggest Year Yet

MAAREE turns seven this month, and I honestly cannot believe it.

When I think back to the very beginning, standing in a charity shop holding a belt and wondering if I could somehow turn it into something that would help stop the bounce, it feels like a completely different lifetime. Yet at the same time, the mission has stayed exactly the same. Helping women feel supported, confident and able to move in whatever way they want.

This past year has been our biggest so far, and before anything else, I want to say a very heartfelt thank you. Nothing we do works without the women who support us, share their stories, turn up to events, recommend us to their friends, give us honest feedback, and trust us with something as personal as their comfort. It means more than you know.

A Year I Will Never Forget

If I had to describe our seventh year, the word that comes to mind is momentum. It felt like one extraordinary moment after another, and I often found myself stopping for a second just to take it all in.

Not points for knowing this one... but seeing Serena Williams in a MAAREE bra (not once, but TWICE) was one of those moments. The first time was unbelievable. The second time was almost impossible to process. I remember just staring at the photo thinking, how on earth did I up here. It was dream I had since the very beginning, but I never though it would ever materialise.

Our athlete community also grew more than ever. Millie Bright, Eleanor Cardwell and so many women in rugby, netball and football trusted us this year. Every time we hear an athlete say, your bra has changed the way I move, it hits home in the most powerful way.

To then launch the Millie Bright - Dream Big Collection was one of the most rewarding projects I've ever had. To have one of the biggest athletes in the country love and trust your product so much that she wanted to collab and help get the support out there to help as women and girls as possible was incredible. Additionally, to have one of the country's top comedians, Maisie Adam, host the launch event for us... pinch me!

Another huge step was our move into retail. We went from exploring the idea to really stepping into physical stores with confidence. Meeting women in person, fitting them properly and hearing real feedback has been invaluable and it has shaped us more than any spreadsheet ever could. We're so excited to have so many partners join us immediately, with so many more in the pipeline. Watch this space.

And then there were the product launches. The Supportive Seamless Collection, the 2-in-1 short, the return of the Limited Edition Pink CoppaFeel Bra, new colours and restocks. This was a year where we pushed ourselves creatively and technically. I always get nervous before a launch, but you came in with reviews and messages that made every bit of work worth it.

Winning Sports Bra of the Year again was another proud moment. It never gets old. It tells us that staying true to our engineering first approach is still the right choice.

But above all, what made this year special was the MAAREE community. The way you show up for us in person and online, the conversations, the fittings, the excitement, the word of mouth. Every message from someone telling us that they ran without pain for the first time, or felt confident again after having a baby, or simply felt seen for the first time, means everything.

Why It Matters

People often look at a sports bra as a small thing. But when it fits properly and supports properly, it changes everything. The way you move, the way you feel, the way you perform. It is not just a piece of clothing. It is a tool that can completely transform a woman’s relationship with sport, exercise and her own body.

This is why MAAREE exists. To genuinely listen and solve the problems that have been ignored for far too long.

For me, that is the heart of all of this.

Looking Ahead to Year Eight

Next year already feels like it will be another defining one.

We have new innovations coming that I am incredibly excited about. We are expanding our retail presence. And there are some partnerships unfolding that I would have only dreamed about a few years ago.

More importantly, I want next year to be all about connection. More community, more education, more real conversations and more opportunities for women to feel supported in every sense.

I have a very good feeling about what is ahead.

Whether you have been here from the early days or you have just found us, thank you. Thank you for choosing us, believing in us, challenging us and cheering us on. Thank you for supporting a small team with a big mission.

Seven years in, and it still feels like we are only getting started.

Here is to year eight and to everything we will build together.
