Description

The first pair of Shorts specifically designed for Jump Rope. The Skipping with Sarah Shorts are designed to both support women of all shapes and sizes to confidently jump rope, keep active and have fun moving their bodies, and to celebrate body acceptance.

Together with Sarah Louise (aka Skipping with Sarah), we have looked at each aspect of a jump rope short in detail to create a product that matches the energy of an activity which as skipping. The MAAREE x SWS Shorts are high-waisted with a drawstring in the waistband to prevent slippage, a buttery soft fabric that is also opaque. We have removed the front seam and added a diamond gusset to prevent camel-toe. We thought of it all.

The SWS collaboration short comes in two sumptupous tones. A rich plum colour and a black which can be seem worn by Sarah here, coupled with the Marl Grey Mighty T-Shirt.

The first pair of shorts designed specifically for jump rope, so you can enjoy jumping without feeling like you need to constantly pull your shorts up!

- Ultra-high waistband for coverage in the front and back
- Hidden drawstring in the waistband to combat slippage
- No front crotch seam – yep, we took it out!
- Medium compression which offers a hugged feel, so you have adequate support without feeling constricted
- Buttery smooth fabric - you won’t want to take these off
- Two side drop-in pockets - big enough to store your phone (and more!)
- Hidden pocket in the back of the waistband to store cards and keys
- This super soft fabric is lightweight but squat proof

Although this collection has been designed for skipping, but is also perfect for running, cross-fit, any plyometric activities or just simply chilling at home.

Q&A

Q: Why collaborate with MAAREE?
A: Since I started skipping during lockdown, I had great difficulty in finding a pair of leggings that I didn’t have to yank up every 5 seconds during my jump rope session. I know first-hand that having the right pair of leggings makes or breaks a workout and soon discovered that it wasn’t just me! So I spent months searching to find the perfect leggings and tested countless styles and brands, but I still wasn’t happy. I decided to find a way to design some myself and immediately thought of MAAREE.

I was thrilled when Mari agreed to collaborate with me on this project. She totally understood my frustration with what was available on the market having been in a similar position herself, but with sports bras.

It has been so much fun being able to create something from scratch with a brand who totally supports my vision. I truly believe we have created a product which is going to empower women to go out and smash their workouts… hands-free!
